Funguys Swarm Fire Curses Guide
Master Fire Curses for accelerated progression — risk-reward analysis and strategy for each curse type.
Understanding Fire Curses
Fire Curses are optional modifier cards that appear during level-up screens in the 1.0 update. Each Fire Curse applies a specific penalty while simultaneously increasing your Dew and Starpath completion rewards.
How Fire Curses Work
When you level up during an arena run, you are offered three upgrade cards. Occasionally, one of these three cards is a Fire Curse. Accepting a Fire Curse immediately applies its penalty for the remainder of the current run.
Fire Curse Types
Fiery Speed increases enemy movement speed. This curse is particularly punishing in arenas with large enemy counts like Egglosseum and Hellscape.
King’s Favourite reduces your base weapon damage output. This curse directly impacts your damage scaling and makes runs longer.
Reinforcement spawns elite copies of enemies during waves. These copies have reduced health compared to normal elites but still deal full elite damage.
Fiery Aura gives certain enemies a fire damage aura on contact. This is the most dangerous curse for melee-focused builds.
Risk-Reward Analysis
The reward multiplier from Fire Curses scales approximately twenty to thirty percent per curse taken. For efficient progression, two curses is the recommended maximum even for experienced players.
Counter-Strategies for Fire Curses
Against Fiery Speed: Slo Moe Treeling’s projectile-slowing effect is essential. Against King’s Favourite: Stack multiple attack multiplier passives. Against Reinforcement: Prioritize crowd control skills. Against Fiery Aura: Maintain distance and use ranged weapon builds.
Forest Strength Synergy
Forest Strength Level 4 is particularly valuable when running Fire Curses because it lets you ban Fire-element cards from appearing during runs.
Preguntas frecuentes
Respuestas rápidas a las preguntas más comunes sobre Funguys Swarm.
What are Fire Curses in Funguys Swarm?
Fire Curses are optional difficulty modifiers offered during level-up screens in 1.0. Taking a Fire Curse makes the current run harder but also increases your Dew and Starpath rewards upon completion.
Which Fire Curses should beginners avoid?
Beginners should skip all Fire Curses until they can consistently complete arenas without taking damage. The Fiery Speed curse and King's Favourite curse are particularly punishing for new players.
Do Fire Curse penalties stack?
Yes. Each Fire Curse taken adds its specific penalty to the run. Taking multiple Fire Curses compounds the difficulty significantly.
How do I counter Fire Curses?
Some Fire Curse penalties can be mitigated through builds. Slo Moe Treeling's projectile slow counters enemy speed curses. Forest Strength 4 lets you ban Fire cards, reducing curse synergy with fire enemies.
What is the optimal number of Fire Curses to take?
For experienced players, two Fire Curses is the sweet spot — the reward multiplier increase is significant while the difficulty is manageable.
