Skills and Weapons

Skills System Overview

Every skill in Funguys Swarm belongs to one of seven elements and has one trigger type. Understanding both dimensions is essential for creating powerful builds.

The seven elements are Beast, Water, Sky, Night, Nature, Earth, and Fire. Each element has a distinct visual identity and thematic bonuses.

Skill trigger types determine when each skill activates. The primary trigger types are: cooldown, weapon attack, dash, movement, pickup, level-up, summon, and on-damage.

Beast Element Skills

Beast skills focus on raw offensive damage and aggression. Crazyball summons a ball that is supercharged by weapon attacks. Eagle Claws gives your weapon attacks a chance to create mirrored slashes. Bearclaw delivers an enraged claw strike. Soulboom drops meteors on random enemies.

Water Element Skills

Water skills provide crowd control through freezing, pushing, and movement disruption. Frozen Splash creates a splash attack that pushes enemies away. Whirlpool creates multiple area-of-effect instances as you move. Splash Shot fires a piercing ice shard.

Sky Element Skills

Sky skills emphasize mobility, shock effects, and projectile-based damage. Repulsive Shock creates a permanent area that applies Shock to enemies. Thunderspear calls down electric spears from ranged weapon attacks. Thunderstrike calls down thunder attacks.

Night Element Skills

Night skills center on spellcasting, projectile density, and ability-focused damage. Dancing Stars activates based on your attack count. Moon Slash empowers melee attacks with celestial power. Stardust fires projectiles when you collect XP.

Nature Element Skills

Nature skills combine poison effects, summons, luck modifiers, and resource-related benefits. Boomshroom summons an exploding mushroom. Stinky Trail leaves a Poison trail. Flower Power launches a returning flower projectile.

Earth Element Skills

Earth skills focus on area denial, survivability, and crowd control. Iron Shroom spawns a rotating damage mushroom. Bramble Roots spawns tentacle roots on dash. Boulder Bonk allows your salamander companion to launch boulders.

Fire Element Skills

Fire skills deliver burn damage, explosions, and aggressive burst potential. Growing Pains increases weapon damage on level-up. Hellfire Zap activates after taking damage. Twin Flame creates rotating discs on dash.

Weapons Overview

The Bow is the fastest attacking weapon, ideal for trigger-based builds. The Throwing Grapes fires rapid projectiles that apply elemental effects quickly. The Watermelon Axe delivers heavy melee swings with high base damage but slow attack speed. The Hammer has the highest single-hit damage but the slowest attack speed.
